University partnership for faculty development
Partner programs share common goals and resources but may differ in their scope and requirements.
The Partnership for Faculty Development supports new scholars interested in faculty and research careers who show promise through their leadership, experience, or engagement that they will contribute to equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research and service. This partnership supports programs at the ten-campus UC system, the three UC National Laboratories, and non-UC universities to offer postdoctoral research fellowships, faculty mentoring, professional development and academic networking opportunities. Each non-UC program will have its own program goals and requirements as well as procedures for recruitment of fellows. Please see the individual program descriptions for information.

UC National Laboratories
UC National Laboratories have a collaborative partnership with the University of California to offer UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), coupled with mentoring, professional development and networking opportunities. The UC National Laboratories seek PhD recipients whose experiences and leadership contribute to the research excellence and public service mission of the UC. The program is particularly interested in candidates with the potential for research and public service informed by the perspective that comes from their understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrepresented in science and technology fields.
Applicants for President’s Postdoctoral Fellowships at one of the UC National Laboratories must submit an online application through the University of California President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program application system.
